Welcome to Reno Costify! Our mission is to make home renovation planning and budgeting as simple as possible. We created a free, interactive 2D room planner and renovation cost calculator so anyone can estimate their project budget quickly and effortlessly.

How Does It Work?
- Draw Room Layout: Click on the grid to place corners. Close the room outline by clicking the starting point.
- Place Doors and Windows: Select the tool and click on a wall. You can drag to reposition openings or customize their dimensions.
- Calculate Materials & Labor: Adjust unit prices, waste margins, paint coats, and general labor rates in the calculator table.
- Export Your Estimate: Click PDF export, wait a few seconds, and download your ready-to-print report.
Who Is Behind Reno Costify?
Reno Costify is built by Tomasz Lichosik — a software developer and creator of several free web tools (including a barcode generator and a 3D printing cost calculator). The project grew out of a simple frustration: before his own renovation, no available calculator could handle a room that wasn't a perfect rectangle. Hence the 2D floor plan editor — you draw the room as it really is, not as it fits into a form.
Where Do Our Numbers Come From?
The calculator doesn't guess — it computes the geometry of your drawn floor plan (net floor and wall areas, with openings deducted) and multiplies it by unit prices you fully control. The default material and labor rates are a starting point based on public hardware store and contractor pricing; blog articles always state the year their price ranges refer to. Before signing with a contractor, update the rates in the estimate table with quotes from your area — that's why they're editable.
